Grow White Beech mushrooms at home

Bring the delicate flavor and appealing appearance of White Beech, also known as White Buna-Shimeji, mushroom cultivation to your growing setup with this 10 ml liquid culture syringe. It is intended for inoculating suitable sterile growing media using clean, careful technique.

What’s included

  • 1 x 10 ml White Beech (Buna-Shimeji) liquid culture syringe
  • 1 x sterile needle
  • 1 x 70% isopropyl alcohol pad

Keep refrigerated until use and work as cleanly as possible when inoculating your prepared substrate.

What exactly is included in my order?

Each order includes one 10 ml syringe filled with pure liquid culture, a sterile 18G injection needle, and an alcohol swab to disinfect the injection port. Everything is safely and sterilely packaged.

How do I store the culture and for how long?

Store the syringe in the fridge (2-4°C / 35-40°F) in a ziplock bag. Never freeze it! When properly refrigerated, the mycelium stays viable for 3 to 6 months. Let it reach room temperature before use.

How much liquid culture do I need per grain bag?

For a standard 3lb grain bag, 2 to 3 ml is plenty. A single 10 ml syringe is enough to inoculate 3 to 5 grain bags. Important: Shake the syringe vigorously before injecting to break up the mycelium!

What is the difference compared to a spore syringe?

Liquid culture contains live, cloned mycelium. The major advantage: The slow spore germination phase is completely skipped. Colonization starts immediately, grows much faster, and lowers contamination risks.

Why does the liquid look cloudy or have clumps in it?

That is the living mycelium! The white, cloudy clumps floating in the liquid are completely normal and a sign of a healthy, strong culture. Simply shake the syringe vigorously to break up the mycelium before inoculating.
