What Is an All In One Grow Bag?

All In One Mushroom Milo Grow Bag with milo grain and coco coir, filter patch and injection port, ready to inoculate for fast colonisation

An all-in-one grow bag is one of the easiest ways to grow mushrooms at home. As the name suggests, everything your mushrooms need is already inside one bag. It works as a closed system with its own microclimate, so you don’t need a pressure cooker, substrate preparation or any lab equipment. You can simply let it grow on your kitchen counter.

Our grow bag is filled with sterilised red milo grain and CVG substrate (coco coir, vermiculite and gypsum). It comes in three sizes: 1, 3 and 5 litres, and each has its own benefits. The 1 litre bag colonises quickly but gives a smaller yield. The 3 litre bag is our most popular, with fast colonisation and a high yield. The 5 litre bag offers the best value of the three.

What's Included

  • 1x All In One Grow Bag (sterilized grain + CVG substrate)
  • 2x 70% Isopropyl Alcohol Wipes
  • Gloves
  • Step-by-step grow guide

Not Included:

  • Liquid Culture or Spores (Genetics)

Note: After you bought a grow bag, we'll send you a list of trusted vendors to buy cultures from with a discount, because we don't offer cultures.

Compatible Mushroom Strains

Abundant mushrooms fruiting directly from an all-in-one grow bag. Enjoy your first harvest in 6 to 8 weeks with zero hassle.

This all in one grow bag is suitable for many different strains, especially:

Coir-loving species: They thrive on coco coir-based substrates, known for fast colonization and reliable fruiting.
Dung-loving species: They are naturally adapted to nutrient-rich, manure-based substrates, often producing large flushes.

More About the Grow Bags We Use

All-in-one mushroom grow bag with milo grain substrate, featuring a 0.2µm filter patch, self-healing injection port and 0.08mm material.

The bag is the most important part of your grow because it’s the foundation for everything that follows. Cheap bags can leak, let in contamination or even rip just when you’re almost ready to harvest. We don’t want that for you. That’s why we use high-quality bags:

  • ✓ 0.08mm thick, robust and puncture-resistant, won't tear during handling or shipping
  • ✓ 0.2 µm filter patch, allows air exchange for the mycelium to breathe, without letting contamination enter
  • ✓ Silicone rubber injection port, heat resistant with self-healing ability for contamination-free inoculation
  • ✓ 100% polypropylene material, heat and pressure resistant, won't melt or break during sterilization
  • ✓ Heat resistant up to 121°C, withstands pressure sterilization at 15 PSI without warping, melting or leaking

More About the Milo Grain We Use

Close-up of two hands holding natural, dry red milo grain used as a premium substrate base for all-in-one mushroom grow bags.

Using the right grain is just as important as everything else. Not only do different grains offer different benefits for growing mushrooms, but each type also needs its own hydration process because of its structure, starch content and more.

  • ✓ Milo grain, balanced between fast colonisation & high yield
  • ✓ Natural, food-grade grain, chemical-free with a low natural spore load
  • ✓ Properly hydrated for 24 hours, ensuring optimal moisture level
  • ✓ Added gypsum, preventing grain clumping for better airflow

More About the Substrate We Use

The substrate is the second main component after the grain. We use CVG (coco coir, vermiculite and gypsum) substrate for all our grow bags because it’s proven to be one of the best for growing mushrooms. It provides good moisture retention and airflow for the mycelium to breathe, and it is also naturally resistant to contamination.

    • ✓ Natural, chemical-free coco coir with harmful salts rinsed out
    • ✓ Medium-grade vermiculite for optimal moisture retention and airflow
    • ✓ Agricultural gypsum, added for calcium, sulfur, and as a pH buffer
    • ✓ Proper field capacity, holding the moisture mycelium needs without waterlogging
    • ✓ 1:1 grain-to-substrate ratio for quick, even colonization

How We Ensure the Quality of Our Bags

Industrial autoclave sterilising mushroom grow bags for 3 hours at 15 PSI, eliminating mold and bacteria for perfect results.

We want every bag to arrive in the best quality we can provide, so you can start your grow with confidence. That is why we take extra care at every step, from sterilisation and sealing to testing each batch before it ships.

    • ✓ Made fresh to order: Your bag is prepared shortly before it ships, so it arrives fresh and ready to grow. We produce our bags once a week, every Monday. Orders placed by Sunday 11:59 pm are made on Monday and shipped within 1-2 days. This way you always receive the best quality.
    • ✓ Sterilised for 3 hours at 15 PSI: Every bag is processed in an industrial autoclave to kill contamination like mold spores and bacteria. We decided to run a full 3-hour cycle just to make sure.
    • ✓ Batch tested by inoculation: One bag from every batch is inoculated as a test to make sure the batch is clean before we ship it out.
    • ✓ Sealed in front of a laminar flow hood: We seal our bags in a clean-air environment to keep contaminants out.
    • ✓ Double-welded seams: Each bag is sealed with an 8 mm double-sided weld for a strong, durable seam that holds up during shipping and the grow process.

      Frequently Asked Questions

When to break and shake all in one bag?

Break and shake your bag when it reaches around 30% colonization, taking two to four weeks. Just break up the grain without mixing it into the substrate. Once it hits 60 to 70% colonization, you should break it up again and thoroughly mix it with the whole bag.

Is there an easier way to grow mushrooms?

No, using all in one grow bags are the easiest method to grow mushrooms. They were designed for beginners without any experience at all.

How to fruit all in one grow bag?

You can start fruiting directly in the bag once your block is fully colonized. Simply cut open the bag over the filter patch to introduce fresh air and trigger pinning. If it looks dry, mist the inside of the plastic bag every other day, never the substrate directly.

How to inoculate all in one grow bag?

You inoculate the grain directly using a spore syringe or liquid culture. Use 2 to 3 ml for a small, 3 to 4 ml for medium, and 5 to 6 ml for large bag. Liquid cultures are always preferred, since raw spores are much more likely to develop a contamination.

How long to grow mushrooms in a bag?

It usually takes six to eight weeks to grow mushrooms in a bag. This timeline depends heavily on the strain and temperature, as well as your inoculation method. Using spores usually takes one to two weeks longer to colonize compared to using an isolated liquid culture

      Free Replacement Policy

Our replacement policy covers bags that arrive contaminated or damaged during shipping. If this happens, we’ll send a new bag at no extra cost.

How it works: Please inspect your bag carefully as soon as it arrives. If you notice any contamination or damage, take clear photos and send it to us within 48 hours of delivery, before opening or inoculating the bag. You can reach us via email, our contact form, or Discord, whichever is easiest for you. Once we’ve confirmed the issue, we’ll ship your replacement.

What’s not covered: Bags after inoculation, for example with spores or liquid culture. We can only guarantee sterility up to the point of inoculation. Once you introduce your own genetics or open the bag, we have no control over your workspace or the quality of the genetics used, so contamination from that point on falls outside what we can be responsible for.
